David John Marotta was interviewed on November 13, 2012 on radio 1070 WINA’s Schilling Show discussing PEDS: Post-Election Depression Syndrome.
“I was talking to a doctor in town who said he was surprised how many patients he had seen with clinical depression over the election results. I believe the definition of clinical is the thought that ‘Things will never be good again.'”

Program Notes:
There are many ways to read the elections. Capitulation on your core values is not one of them. Read a biography of anyone who has done anything significant. The setbacks and struggles are inevitable. They require grit and perseverance to overcome. Abolitionists took many years to win the day. World War Two involved major defeats. Imagine Hitler to Churchill: “I won Europe so you should concede Brittain as well. Like Churchill we should say, “Never.”
There is a moral case to Free Enterprise:
1) Free Enterprise safeguards lasting happiness
2) It promotes real fairness
3) It does the most good for the most vulnerable
We should regroup and continue to work alongside those on our side, trying alternate strategies to reach the hearts and minds of America.
We should avoid falling into anger, apathy or acceptance that this is the way it will always be.
