In addition to our “Comprehensive” and “Collaborative” service levels, we also offer some of our services in a “Do-It-Yourself” service level that has a lower annual fee and no minimum. Basic services include asset allocation design and portfolio management. Some additional services are available for an additional charge.
Not everyone who wants or would benefit from our services can meet our “Comprehensive” or “Collaborative” service levels’ minimum fees. Those fees are there to cover the cost of the bespoke financial planning services and comprehensive wealth management that we offer.
At our DIY service level, we are able to provide exclusively the investment management services, and thus offer lower costs to those clients. With this lower fee, more people can benefit from our services.

Clients can both sign-up and manage their accounts easily online via InstitutionalIntelligent.Schwab.com; enrollment and account open are paperless.
You can open a Schwab Institutional Intelligent Portfolio with Marotta Wealth Management simply by going to https://institutionalintelligent.schwab.com/ and clicking “Get Started” in the upper right corner. You will be presented with a page of disclosures from Schwab about how the program works. Then, at the bottom of that page, you can sign up with Marotta Wealth Management by filling in our Advisor Program Key CT14 and clicking “Continue.”
Next, Schwab will ask you a series of questions about your goal for this account. Answer them as honestly as possible, but these questions will not be the primary source of information that Marotta Wealth Management will use to determine your target asset allocation.
After answering the questions, you will ultimately be able to enroll, a process which they estimate takes 10 minutes.
If you have multiple accounts you wish to open with us, you can simply repeat the process to open additional accounts.
