Limited Power of Attorney for Investment Advisor
|
If you have already opened an account at Charles Schwab or if you want to use Schwab’s paperless account open to create an account, you can add Marotta Wealth Management’s discretion to that account using this Limited Power of Attorney for Investment Advisor form.
One form is necessary per account.
After filling out your basic information in Part 1, you simply sign in Part 6.
The sections in between define the relationship Marotta Wealth Management will have with your assets.
The most important section is Part 2 where we accept “Trading Authorization,” which gives us the authority to trade in your account at our discretion. We also accept “Fee Payment Authorization” which gives us the authority to receive our quarterly fee.
Notably, we believe you should safeguard your money, even from your financial advisor. As a result, we do not accept disbursement authority. For this reason, we have definitively crossed out this section on the form.
